Charles MIKULA

I'm originally from the UK.  My father was Stanislaw Mikula, a Polish artist and student of Andre Derain.  I moved to Paris in my early twenties, where I first exhibited my artwork. Having lived in Paris, I then spent a number of years in Grenoble in South Eastern France, before returning to London where I graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama .

I live in Melbourne Australia where I've had a number of solo shows, and take part in group shows whenever the opportunity arises.

I'm passionate about exploring the properties and possibilities of different mediums and processes. Abstraction has always obsessed me because of its ability to transport the viewer into landscapes of the mind where meaning becomes individual and personal.
